Overview
Gǔ̄ Naw̋r Ni̋ēkēä was founded durring the early 11th century, by Vú̄tō̄ Ga̋ń̄ńch 'Berry Lianna' Vúóoīsh Yawmē̄ Yaw̋chī Ca̋chīb Sërm. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.
Gǔ̄ Naw̋r Ni̋ēkēä was built using the conventions of Goblin durring the early 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Gǔ̄ Naw̋r Ni̋ēkēä is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.
Gǔ̄ Naw̋r Ni̋ēkēä is buildings are grouped arround an odd layout of broad cobblestone streets, which seems to be based on an overlapping squair patern such that there are small squares at the cornor of every bigger square. Sometimes buildings exist in the smaller squaires, other times they are open spaces, or occupied by temporary structures. The city rests behind a thin stone wall. The wall's design was likly directly copied from a castle's parmiter defences. It's simply that the arcatect made Gǔ̄ Naw̋r Ni̋ēkēä's wall substancialy thinner than a castle's walls. While the towers and gatehouses are adiquite, the obvious cost savings measure of making the walls drasticaly thinner reduces their ability to resist siege weapons greatly. The city's impressive-looking wall could fail at a critical moment in battle, and would likely not even resist a few bandits with improvised siege equipment. Unfortuantly, these budget oriented are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.
Gǔ̄ Naw̋r Ni̋ēkēä has the unmistakable air of a city on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Gǔ̄ Naw̋r Ni̋ēkēä ’s existence was once fed by scholarly pursuits. But the income once drawn in by the works of scribes and academics has dried up and the city is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. Everywhere about the city one can see abandoned schools, libraries, and other academic structures. Locals can be overheard having academic discussions, as well as talking about scholarly subjects in general. It’s quite clear the city places a lot of value on education and being a learned individual. Even in these times.

Cultural Notes
Gǔ̄ Naw̋r Ni̋ēkēä's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known primarily for its use of abstraction and simplicity. Clean lines, right angles, and primary colors characterized this aesthetic and art movement expressed via architecture and paintings. Its design ethos allows only primary colors and non-colors, only squares and rectangles, only straight and horizontal or vertical lines. Vertical and horizontal lines are positioned in layers or planes that do not intersect, thereby allowing each element to exist independently and unobstructed by other elements. These seemingly impossible principals for an architectural style coalesces into structures which most experts find hard to put into words. It is not that their geometry is impossible, but rather the style's attempt at producing works only describable visually was most successful..

History
A local has came up with a wonderful new idea 4 months ago; it may be a magical innovation, a new industrial process, a new agricultural product, a new use for what was thought to be ancient garbage, or some other very useful, profitable idea. Everyone around them is fighting for the chance to exploit this clever new plan.
In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Gǔ̄ Naw̋r Ni̋ēkēä was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Gǔ̄ Naw̋r Ni̋ēkēä lost 118 people, 184 livestock, and 42 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 156, when members of Gǔ̄ Naw̋r Ni̋ēkēä's militia enacted an operation to patrol a specific area to dissuade the enemy from their current activities. The operation was complicated by a key segment of the operation that deepened entirely on a stealth mission going perfectly. The conflict ended with an assault and siege on the ruin, which ended in a crushing defeat for Gǔ̄ Naw̋r Ni̋ēkēä's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Gǔ̄ Naw̋r Ni̋ēkēä's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
